Who We Are

Choices is a 100% Free Public Charter School serving grades 6-12

Since 1999, we have offered an Independent Study program that offers a wide variety of courses with a caring and safe environment that provides an extraordinary educational choice at no cost to you.

We offer a flex-based instructional model with an online curriculum and in-person classes.

As a small charter school, we offer a unique environment, and in most cases, better benefits than many traditional schools can provide. Some of these include:

Our families and students come from many backgrounds and nationalities and live in the Sacramento area; Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Folsom, Gold River, Oak Park, North Highlands, Orangevale, Walnut Grove, Elverta, Carmichael, and many more. We serve the following counties: Sacramento, Placer, Sutter, San Joaquin, El Dorado, Yolo, Contra Costa, Amador, and Solano.

Intramurals Ad

Intramural sports at Choices are hosted by Mr. Martinez and Ms. Monahan. They are open to any grade or skill level. They will be held every Wednesday from 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Come out and have fun, make new friends, and get some exercise (counts for PE). Tutoring Help

We have a variety of tutoring options that are available for our students. Help is just one simple click, phone call, chat, or Zoom away, and of course, we offer in-person support with our teachers and in our computer lab.

Choices Teachers (your best starting point)

Help from your Teachers - Teachers at Choices are available to help students when needed by scheduling one-on-one tutoring and homework help time. Communication with your teachers is one of the most important factors in success. Students can get help in a variety of ways and formats, all you need to do is ask:

  • Chat using SchoolsPLP for help.
  • Email your teacher for help.
  • Call your teacher for help.
  • Zoom with your teacher for help.
  • Schedule a meeting on campus with your teacher.

Choices Computer Lab & Tutoring with Mrs. Cave

Computer Lab tutoring hours are as follows: (closed for lunch from 12-12:30)

  • Monday – Wed:  8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Thursday:  8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Friday:  8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
