Choices Charter School is a free personalized learning public charter school, authorized by the San Juan Unified School District. Our charter school provides students with a Hybrid independent study (IS) program for grades 6-12 that includes in-class instruction for academic support and also provides students with peer socialization that other IS schools do not offer. We are fully accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Yes. Choices Charter School is fully accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). You can read our WASC accreditation report here. Credits earned while attending CCS are transferable to traditional public schools.

No. You must reside in Sacramento county or one of the eight adjoining counties, which includes Placer, Sutter, San Joaquin, El Dorado, Yolo, Contra Costa, Amador, and Solano.

– To begin, please create an account and complete your application online. This will allow us to invite you to attend an information session to learn more about our school, our teaching methodology, and what makes Choices Charter School an Extraordinary Choice. Remember, Choices serves students in 6th through 12th grades.

Yes! There is a graduation ceremony at the end of every school year.

Choices Charter School requires 220 semester credits to graduate. Students are typically enrolled as full-time students with a load of 30 credits per semester.

Yes. This may depend on the personalized educational plan developed with the counselor.

Absolutely! Students frequently come to Choices Charter School to get caught up on credits before returning to their original school to graduate on time with their class.
